Potash

Potash is the generic term for potassium-bearing minerals, ores and processed products. Potash is a substance that has been used since antiquity in the manufacture of glass, soft soap and as a agricultural fertiliser (plant nutrient).
Today some 95% of potash consumption is in fertilisers, the remainder used to produce potassium chemicals.
