Green Week

1 - 4 June 2010
Brussels, Belgium

The 10th edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, will take place from 1 to 4 June 2010 in Brussels. This year's theme is biodiversity.

Over some 30 sessions, the conference will address the state of biodiversity in Europe and in the world, the pressures currently affecting biodiversity, the benefits it brings, and possible solutions to the current rates of loss. The path to be taken by biodiversity policies post-2010 and the economic dimension of biodiversity and ecosystems services will also be examined.

Green Week offers a unique opportunity for debate and exchanges of experience and best practice. Over the past decade, the conference has established itself as an unmissable event for anyone involved with protecting the environment. The 2009 edition attracted some 4,200 participants from government, business and industry, non-governmental organisations, academia and the media.

Green Week is open to the public and participation is free of charge.
