Euromines Safety Award 2023

Euromines is aware of the substantial efforts its members have been taking to prevent and mitigate workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities and to improve the safety culture.

Euromines, therefore, wishes to recognize and promote them by creating this Euromines Safety Award.

The Euromines Safety Award aims to:

  • Recognise their commitment and innovative initiatives to improve and mitigate occupational safety risks at the workplace
  • Foster innovation in the mining sector by providing a platform to showcase best practice models on risks prevention

Eligibility criteria

Every Euromines member company (full or associated member) can submit a health and safety project. There is a limit of four entries.
The projects may concern any way of health and safety improvements inside or outside the company, best practices such as injury prevention, workers’ s behaviours, safety culture, road safety, or safety leadership and stewardship towards workers or communities. Projects regarding initiatives or activities addressing the Coronavirus crisis are also accepted.

Selection process

The evaluation of the project will be done by experts and EXCOM members.
The award ceremony will take place during the Euromines General Assembly dinner on 19 April 2023 in Brussels, Belgium following the presentation of all projects.
