About Euromines Magnesium Hydroxide Consortium
The Euromines Magnesium Hydroxide Consortium was formed in April 2008 for the core purpose of assisting industry to comply with REACH. The Consortium gathers the main EU magnesia manufacturers and traders. In September 2010 a joint registration dossier was submitted to ECHA for Magnesium hydroxide and it successfully passed the technical completeness check.

REACH is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. The law entered into force on 1 June 2007.
